Full Job Description:
We truly believe it is possible! We are looking for a technical lead with experience in building and deploying client/server ML functionality. The ideal candidate has the ability to lead multi-functional efforts through ML design, prototyping, validation, and self-learning. Hands-on experience in training/rehearsing language models would be a strong requirement!
We are part of the Intelligent Systems Experience (ISE) team within Apple's software organization. The team works at the intersection between multimodal machine learning and process analysis. System experience (ship, settings), keyboard, pen and paper, shortcuts are some of the experiences that the team is responsible for. These experiences that our users love are supported by production-standard ML workflows. Visual recognition of people, text, handwriting and animation, multilingual NLP for writing workflows and knowledge extraction, behavioral modeling for actionable suggestions and preserving hidden learning are the focus areas of our multidisciplinary ML team.
Selected references for our team work:
Practical experience in training LLMs
Experience renovating trained LLMs for downstream projects
Experience managing large scale datasets for data mining/indexing
Experience modeling and integration of NLP and vision
Knowledge of distributed training
Proficiency in ML tools of choice, such as PyTorch
Strong programming skills in Python, C and C++
Knowledge of ML is a plus
