Position Title: Quality Analyst

Reports to: Quality Supervisor

Location: Fishers, IN

Primary Purpose of Position:

Will promote a quality culture through teamwork and enforcing quality best practices.

Job Duties:

• Support the Quality and Operations teams with quality best practices.

• Complete startup / last article inspections
• Audit / Inspect and report on in-process and manufactured products. (Finished Goods, Components and Supplied items).
• Make decisions on the acceptability/non-acceptability of manufactured/packaged products.
• Use defect categories critical / major / minor to make sound business decisions.
• Contain all non-conforming product(s) to the last known •acceptable inspection point•.
• Communicate non-conformance(s) and /or trending conditions to support teams.
• Act as the •Voice of Quality• and facilitate solutions in •real time• with the cross functional team.
• Record inspection and audit results on internal documentation.
• Perform inspection activities reporting on process and product performance.
• Perform inspections of new product and FG product lots to defined AQL and sampling methods.
• Provide follow up and verification activities in support of corrective actions and/or process adjustments.
• Coach, train, and mentor the fundamentals of Quality to coworkers as needed.
• Follow all safety guidelines.
• Follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy.
• Perform such individual assignments as management may direct.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education

  High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.

  Experience/Knowledge

  • Must be self-motivated and be able to prioritize issues as they occur.
  • Basic computer and math skills, including fractions and decimals required. Microsoft Office products • Excel and Word
  • Able to work in SAP/PKMS database and make daily entries.
  • Able to work well with others and be a team member.
  • Ability to use measurement equipment: micrometers, calipers, indicators.
  • Minimum 6 (six) months experience in a manufacturing or equivalent environment.

  • Must have good communication skills • both written and verbal.
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to prioritize issues as they occur.
  • Must have accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Need to have workplace flexibility and adapt to change regarding how and when work gets done.

   

  Physical Requirements _38_ Work Environment

  • Walk, bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach, and lift approximately 95 (ninety-five) percent of work time.
  • Ability to work overtime or on weekends with short notice.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and walk over rough ground
  • Willingness to work all/any shifts.
  • Typical plant/manufacturing environment with concrete floors and moving equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
