SUMMARY
The Quality Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with regulatory requirements. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to upholding safety standards.
This position consists of performing Receiving Incoming Inspections on a variety of Fiber Optic and Copper components IAW inspection check sheets and engineering drawings to ensure conformity of product.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform audit of Products with Shelf-Life web-based tool to ensure outdated chemicals are purged post expiration date.
- Follow up on Calibration Web tool and notifications of tooling out of CAL.
- Conduct annual internal TL9000/ISO 9001:2015 as assigned. Perform ESD audits IAW standards. Along with QA Management, oversee the processing of NCMR (Non-conforming Material Requests IAW QA-1069, ensuring steps are being conducted in timely manner to ensuring RMA’s/non-conforming material are not lingering (aging) past a reasonable reconciliation time.
- Perform annual audit of Record Retention compliance IAW with doc. 999-0084-012.
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of products to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address quality issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and implement quality control measures.
- Maintain documentation and records related to quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance protocols and training programs.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Participate in EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) initiatives to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparing documentation and addressing audit findings.
- Conduct training sessions on quality assurance and safety protocols for employees as needed.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to quality assurance and safety.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to run various specified ERP reports.
- Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel Workbook, Outlook, and the company Intranet.
- The ability to read a ruler to 10ths and 100ths. Familiar with reading dial or digital calipers to perform precise dimension validation.
- Read and interpret production drawing, production process documents and wire configurations.
- The proper use of Outlook for e-mail correspondence, calendar usage and file storage.
- Understand the required interactions between departments in order to facilitate achieving a high level of customer satisfaction and On Time Delivery.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and experience implementing safety protocols.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
