Senior Backend Software Engineer, Beavercreek OH or Colorado Springs, CO

Position Responsibilities

• Develop user-facing features using modern web technologies (Vue.js, Vite.js, Webpack, React, Angular)
• Proactively identify and resolve challenging issues in a variety of software applications
• Working with and mentoring a team of software developers across a multidisciplinary set of software development efforts
• Break down project requirements into actionable tasks
• Build reusable components and software library to share code amongst various projects

Requirements

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to quickly pick up new technologies
• Expert knowledge of modern UI frameworks such as Vue, React, Angular, etc.
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Expert understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledgeable with frontend test tools (Vitest, Jest, Cypress, Playwright)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and modern build technologies such as Vite or Webpack
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other software development-related degree
• 10+ years experience
• Must be a US citizen

Basic Compensation:

Pay range: $130K-$180K

This range is for the state of Colorado only.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
