Target Data Science & Analytics teams build the tools and data products to sustainably educate and enable our business partners to make big data-driven decisions at Target. We help develop the technology that personalises the guest experience, from product recommendations to relevant advertising content. We're also the data and analytics source behind Target's Internet of Things (iOT) applications, fraud detection, supply chain optimization, and demand forecasting. We play a key role in identifying test and measurement or A/B testing opportunities that continually help Target improve the guest experience, whether they enjoy shopping in-store or on Target.com.
Target's product teams are responsible for delivering enabled business outcomes through easy-to-use, easy-to-maintain, and highly reliable technology and analytics products. Product teams have a shared backlog that includes all product, technology, discovery, and design work.
The Item and Referral Data product creates analytical pipelines that provide historical data to the teams in each Target pyramid about the items we sell, the locations we operate in, the status of items by location, and the business partners we do business with. that we work You will work with a team of talented data engineers to ingest, transform and persist data from a variety of source applications into our retail platform. To provide the business with reliable and accurate data, you'll work with Target teams who access your data through a variety of technologies in the analytics platform to drive a broad range of business processes. You will work closely with Retail Applications product teams building item, location, item location and supplier data to schedule updates and resolve data quality issues to mitigate impacts on downstream users.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will work across the project and product partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related product roadmap and establish Key Business Objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to leverage your product knowledge and customer feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases and prioritize the desired direction and outcomes for your product. You will lead a product and work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product. You will be the 'Voice of Product' for key stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and the product team receives the direction and support they need to be successful. You will actively develop and understand the market, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining themes, epics and customer stories, prioritizing the backlog to focus on work that will have the biggest impact for your team and stakeholders.
You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve ambitious goals and high standards of performance as you engage with the organisation's leadership. You'll foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unforeseen obstacles, working with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours.

About you:
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of product management experience working with analytical databases (i.e. how data is transformed, stored and accessed)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience leading global product teams of data engineers, analysts or scientists
- Strong knowledge of architecture, governance and data management.
- Experience with data warehousing, visualization and ETL tools a plus
- Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams.
- Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum team, sprint, people)
- Ability to lead a body of work with cross-functional partners
- Strong communication skills
