SENIOR PROGRAM DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY: Senior Program Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing and fostering the development of consumer programs at the Center. They are responsible for managing direct service staff, ensuring program objectives are met, and facilitating grant reporting. Additionally, they assist in facilities management to ensure smooth operations.
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement community service programs, assessing needs and ensuring program objectives are aligned with overall goals.
Supervise direct staff, monitoring service quality and quantity, and conduct employee performance evaluations.
Oversee program services, set goals in line with organizational objectives, manage program data and consumer quality satisfaction surveys.
Monitor onsite compliance with DHS (Department of Human Services) case management guidelines.
Participate in hiring processes to maintain adequate staffing levels across departments.
Assist with developing policies and procedures for independent living practices and daily operations.
Supervise direct reports and foster productive relationships across all staff levels.
Manage financial and grant audits, and organize fundraising events.
Effectively evaluate and recommend changes to program policies and procedures.
Monitor and conduct outreach activities to raise community awareness and network with other community service providers.
Cultivate effective relationships with management, staff, government agencies, officials, and service providers.
Promote public relations through presentations and networking activities.
Continuously advocate for disability rights to address barriers in employment and public facilities.
Assist Office Manager with HR functions including but not limited to onboarding new hires, payroll, employee files and other business office related duties.
Coordinate with Office Manager payroll, monitoring program staff leave and records to ensure compliance with labor laws.
Represent and assume the responsibilities of the Executive Director in their absence. Perform other duties assigned by the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services preferred with a minimum of five years of relevant’ work experience in the human service field. Years of relevant experience with comparable responsibilities may be substituted for years of education.
Practical and theoretical knowledge of disability related services. Ability to represent a professional agency in the public form. Experience in working with persons with disabilities is preferred.
Demonstrate a continuing commitment to the Philosophy of Independent Living.
Strong strategic thinking, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent conceptual, planning and organizational skills. Flexibility in work schedule and willingness to travel as needed.
Intermediate familiarity with computer operations - Word, Excel, Google Docs, Gmail; CILs First Database. Flexible work schedule with the option to work remotely after probationary period.
Travel is required in order to carry out some of the duties of this position and to attend training workshops and conferences.
Base Salary: USD $41,500 - $45,200 annually
