Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
Job Location: Brentwood, TN/ Remote
Duration: 6 Months Contract

Travel: Reimbursable
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday (8:00am- 5:00pm)
Location: Hybrid Corporate position - work from home with travel to any of four refineries and Dallas Project Management Office
Assignment Duration: 6 month initial project assignment w/potential to extend to later phases and/or similar projects
Job Summary:
The Senior Project Engineer, Capital Projects Development is a member of the Enterprise Capital Projects PMO and supports the development of capital projects for Delek refineries. He or she will drive Carbon Capture Technology Projects including technology evaluation and technical deliverable reviews.
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Engineer, Capital Projects Development will be responsible for the following:
- Gathering information to support project definition, problem statement, and project objective function.
- Leading the development of refinery complex capital projects through the Opportunity Identification and Option Selection Phases
- Front running vendor scope & proposals necessary to request and secure any OPEX funds needed for early development, and complement scoping & budgeting of CAPEX phases.
- Leading site project development review meetings providing clarity to assurance requirements and development goals
- Defining project specific development deliverables consistent with phase appropriate level of detail
- Validating the project scope and execution plan of projects prior to approval for funding (AFE) and identifying value engineering opportunities
- Preparing Power Point presentations to summarily communicate developed project scope, deliverables, and funding plan
Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
- Engineering management experience for Front End Loading studies FEL 1, FEL 2 & FEED with demonstrated experience with generation, review and management of FEL & FEED deliverables
- Process or Project Engineering background preferred
- EPC contractor experience encouraged
- Experience in refinery or petrochemicals plant design
- Experience providing and managing technical inputs to estimating process (equipment specifications, quantities and technical risk evaluation)
- Experience with flue gas collection systems: heaters, boilers & FCC
- Experience with Carbon Capture Technology evaluation, scaling and deployment preferred, but not necessary
- Minimum 10 years of combined engineering experience
- Strong background in process and/or project engineering discipline work
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering required
- Chemical Engineering preferred
