NCC seeks a highly experienced (4+ years) and result-driven SEO specialist with keen attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and writing skills. You will own and grow our SEO channel (planning, implementation, on-page, off-page, technical SEO, link building, analysis, and reporting.)
Goals for this position:
- Take complete ownership of the SEO channel and provide optimization of the 1,400+ indexed website pages to deliver aggressive organic growth.
- Understand our products, regional approach, and industry specifics inside out to ensure relevancy.
- Monitor and keep all SEO articles and pages up to date.
- Elevate our brand visibility and organic impression share while maintaining and growing our positions.
Key Responsibilities:
SEO Strategy, Planning, and Reporting:
- Gather a deep understanding of our products, regionality, industry, competitive landscape, and user behaviors, conduct keyword research, and ensure ongoing Search Engine Optimization.
- Stay updated with industry trends and algorithm updates to ensure best practices are implemented.
- Perform ongoing keyword research, including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities.
- Regularly perform competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and grow our positions and impressions share.
- Collaborate with our content manager to successfully launch Google News.
- Monitor, analyze, and maintain website performance.
On-page SEO:
- Recommend and implement changes to the website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve site positions for target keywords.
- Create new, relevant, and in-demand SEO content to ensure aggressive growth.
- Optimize existing copy (landing pages, articles, blogs) while maintaining relevancy and readability.
- Optimize website content, including metadata, headings, and on-page elements, for improved search engine visibility.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure site performance.
- Collaborate with our Content manager and PPC specialist to ensure a holistic approach.
Off-page SEO:
- Develop and implement an ongoing quality link-building strategy. Identify and develop processes to deliver high-quality backlinks at a scale.
- Develop and implement Reddit and Quora strategies to improve SEO.
- Perform ongoing keyword research, including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities.
- Regularly perform competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and grow our positions and impressions share.
- Collaborate with our content manager to successfully launch Google News.
- Monitor, analyze, and maintain website performance.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in SEO roles, including one year of in-house (non-agency) experience, is preferred.
- Experience with website optimization tools and techniques, including mobile optimization, page speed enhancements, and schema markup. Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, SEO best practices, and a high understanding of bot crawling and indexing processes.
- Proficiency with WordPress, GA-4, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster tools, and SEMrush.
- Excellent writing skills.
Hours:
Working hours will be M-F 8:00-4:30 EST, with weekends and select holidays off.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
