Wayfair's Global Demand Planning and Analytics team builds algorithms to improve customer experience, supplier experience and internal efficiencies that ultimately drive our results. The team consists of data science / ML / economics experts, ML / software engineers, senior analysts and product managers; those responsible for the development and management of the world's largest forecasting system; That makes Wayfair's supply chain more complex. Within this extended group, the Catalog Segmentation Strategy and Analytics team helps define how to effectively segment our catalog to deliver high ROI business results by applying nuanced strategy and inventory management in mind. models in our catalog and individual parts. The Replenishment Platform team is seeking a highly skilled technical analyst to drive strategic understanding of over 25 million operations and help create strategies that optimize the trade-off between product availability, shipping speed and cost market supply.
What to do
Perform statistical analysis on large datasets and in specific areas to build performance insights across different attributes. Use these findings to further develop other departments to improve operational efficiency and business results. Create an efficient data structure that can be applied across the organization and can be maintained in a dynamic environment. Transfer this data to Wayfair's back-end systems to improve installation service and efficiency. Work with our operations analysis team to develop action plans across product categories that maximize business results and improve catalog performance, focusing on actionable and impactful leads.
Develop department-level performance assessments to create a holistic view that shows the company's overall trajectory across various operational KPIs. Collaborate with business, service and technology partners; and ensure there is a strong alignment between Wayfair's business goals and a data science-driven strategy.
Develop key metrics and reports to measure how strategic initiatives are improving Wayfair's performance and enable our team to quickly identify trends and causes and create targeted action plans. Who are you:
A highly skilled analyst who can process complex data and is prone to confusion and organizational problems
MS in quantitative fields (engineering, performance analysis, mathematics, economics) with a strong academic record.
Exceptional analytical skills, including a high degree of comfort/experience with using SQL, Google Cloud Platform or other resources.
Everyday relational database technology has a track record of meaning in developing actionable insights
