Are you ready to join a dynamic team and contribute to the energy solutions of tomorrow? We are currently seeking an Apprentice to join our Service Team and work under the guidance of our experienced technicians. You will assist in servicing, repairing, and troubleshooting #2, #4 and natural gas burners. You will also assist in servicing and repairing commercial residential steam, hot water and warm air systems. You'll gain knowledge of tanks and piping systems, as well as learn to support a safe and efficient work environment. This is an excellent opportunity if you are looking to start a career in the heating service industry.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in servicing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting #2, #4, & natural gas burners.
- Assist technicians in servicing and repairing commercial residential steam, hot water, and warm air systems.
- Learn to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment, controls, piping, and wiring for residential heating systems.
- Gain knowledge of above ground and buried tanks, gravity and suction systems.
- Develop an understanding of oil, water, steam, and condensate piping systems.
- Assist in operating combustion analyzers to obtain unit efficiencies.
Qualified Candidates will have the following:
- Minimum of one year of practical experience in electrical, plumbing, or mechanical fields, or equivalent educational background.
- Valid and clean driver’s license.
- Ability to navigate through the five boroughs, Westchester County, Long Island and New Jersey
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
- Available to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Bilingual Spanish skills strongly preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Good communication/interpersonal skills

- Occasionally exposed to excessive heat, excessive cold, vibration and slippery surfaces
- Frequently indoors, driving, using power tools/equipment, and talking

The rate for this position is $28.00 per hour, based on experience.
