Job Summary:

Responsible for providing the first point of contact for internal Walgreens customers including retail stores, corporate facilities, distribution centers and other business groups within the Walgreens family of companies. Responsible for providing hardware, software, communication and process support via telephone and online in an effort to help our business units operate effectively and efficiently. Provides solutions to problems in a professional, timely and cost-effective manner. Available for on-call support 24X7X365.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides customer service through active listening, showing empathy and attention to detail. Proactively follow up on issues. Anticipate customer concerns.
  • Analyze and identify technical hardware, software, procedure and/or communication problems. Develops, maintains and applies IT technical knowledge of systems and tools required for troubleshooting.
  • Communicate technical resolutions clearly, concisely, and accurately verbally and in writing. Accurately document and summarize interactions and troubleshooting steps with internal customers for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Adheres to departmental and company policies, procedures and expectations, especially service level objectives. Browse a database of solutions and follow prescribed procedures to provide the best possible response to problems.
  • Maintains a monthly scalable productivity standard. Works with employees inside and outside the department to ensure resolution of escalated issues.
  • Where appropriate, provide suggestions for process and procedure improvement.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED and at least 2 years experience in a customer service position.
  • Basic level of technical aptitude (for example: understanding the basic logical strategies behind finding solutions for technical programs)
  • Basic level knowledge of Microsoft Word.
  • Basic level knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic level computer skills.
  • Available to work weekends, holidays and nights.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing.
  • Experience communicating both verbally (telephone, one-to-one, in groups) and written (emails and reports) to various audiences (workgroup, team, company management, external customers).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or technical training.
  • Experience in technical support of infrastructure and business applications.
  • Experience communicating in Spanish both verbally (by phone, one-on-one, in groups) and in writing (emails and reports) to various audiences (workgroup, team, company management, external clients).
