We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with experience designing RTP/RTCP based solutions to deliver highly interactive, ultra-low latency streaming over ISP networks worldwide. Understand the dynamic nature of Internet paths and how they affect interactive multimedia transmissions. It will refine and improve state-of-the-art heuristics for speed and latency estimation, congestion control, and loss recovery for RTP-based media streams. You'll collaborate with colleagues to implement and deploy your new ideas in our server-side real-time transport stack. You'll work closely with colleagues in server, client and data analytics to evaluate and refine your designs through a mix of lab and production (A/B) testing. All this excites you.

Judgments:
- Thorough understanding of modern strategies to balance network congestion, good performance, latency and reliability supporting RTP-based, ultra-low latency and interactive streaming.
- Familiarity with how low latency two-way media streams over IP networks interact with bufferbloat, active/intelligent queuing, and concurrent TCP-like traffic.
- Experience using network lab environments for controlled data network experiments exploring large multiparameter test spaces. Experience using A/B testing methodologies for transport stack performance testing in production.
- Working understanding of Secure RTP/RTCP, DTLS, SCTP, STUN/TURN and ICE protocols.
- The ability to articulate for a diverse audience the technical and commercial implications of performance measurement experiments performed both in the laboratory and in production.
- Experience working with remote engineering or product teams across multiple time zones.
- Experience developing software on Linux or closely related environments.
- Experience with tcpdump/wireshark, python and R (or similar tools) for network traffic capture, test orchestration, post capture analysis and presentation.
