We are members of the Node.js platform and we are the champions of the UI team (front end) at Netflix. Our goal is to make it easy for them to create applications, services and libraries. We help them focus on innovation by reducing the complexity of building and operating software. We're leading and changing the Node.js scene at Netflix. Developer experience is part of our DNA and affects every aspect of our work. Our team provides a Node.js platform as a service (PaaS) that allows engineers to quickly create and implement code that meets Netflix's availability, monitoring and reliability needs. We also offer an Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) framework that allows engineers to configure domains, paths and applications to quickly deploy UI code to production. These two important offerings work together to power Netflix.com, the API services that Netflix devices consume, and the ecosystem of web applications that support our content creation. Both are late-stage offerings that take a team from zero to production.
Hundreds of engineers use our technology. We believe in developer happiness within the software development experience. We attribute our success to our ability to accelerate productivity and Netflix engineering. This role focuses on improving the development experience of our engineering team using Node.js. The scope is broad and includes library and system development, production tools, diagnostics and debugging, operations, developer input, and developer support. The team relies on human technology. These are highlighted in our Culture Memo and applied to our daily work during the software development process. Code is only a small part of the effect of this group.

Understand how developers use Node.js and Netflix to create real solutions and abstractions for their use cases, and help drive and develop best practices.
Join the team in and around the Node.js community driving and promoting the Node.js vision on Netflix (aka "The Paved Road").
Provide and integrate libraries, frameworks, and workflows that help developers build their Node.js software in the Netflix cloud environment.
Build, scale, scale and operate PaaS infrastructure for production
Continue to improve the quality of work through a culture of learning and investing in work and trust in feedback and
Ensure comprehensive monitoring and periodic review of the status of Node.js services;
Define and improve dependency management, packaging and release history for Node.js
Identify and correct standards and application implementations that make it difficult for developers to build and maintain their software effectively.
Solve complex home problems with simple, intuitive strategies
Promotes adoption of new technologies and complex systems
