About Work
Like Google itself, the job of a software engineer (SWE) goes beyond simple research. SWE managers not only have the technical skills to support and provide technical leadership for large projects, but also manage a team of engineers. Not only do you optimize your own code, but you ensure that engineers can optimize theirs. As a SWE Manager, you manage your project goals, contribute to product strategy and help grow your team. SWE members work across the industry, in areas such as information retrieval, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, distributed computing, large scale systems, networking, security, data compression, interface design an employee; the list is long and growing every day. Working at scale and speed, our elite software engineers are getting started - and as a leader, you lead the way.
Behind everything our users see online is an architecture built by the infrastructure team to make it work. From creating and maintaining our data center to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make the Google product portfolio possible. We pride ourselves on being our engineers and love to break things down by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our network up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Our team combines the best of Google AI, software and hardware to create meaningful experiences. We research, design and develop new technologies and hardware to make computers faster, smarter and more powerful. Our mission is to improve people's lives through technology.
