The Irrigation Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing and rebuilding the hydraulic components of the computer-controlled irrigation systems at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. An autodidact irrigation professional can quickly analyze many types of irrigation systems. Field service positions may include working from elevated platforms and enclosed spaces around Walt Disney World Parks and Resort.
The starting payment rate for this service is $22.76
Functions:
Perform maintenance on all parts of the computer controlled irrigation system
Control and monitor hydraulics in water pipes
Determine pressure loss and speed calculation capabilities
Perform installation, repair, electrical troubleshooting and inspection of existing irrigation systems
Cast members may be required to handle chemicals and cleaning equipment
Additional personal protective equipment may be required (face shields, goggles, hand sanitizer refills, etc.)
Key features:
A valid Florida driver's license
Landscape Irrigation Monitoring Certificate
Understand plumbing, plumbing and electrical standards
Minimum of 5 years of irrigation experience
Experience with computer controlled irrigation systems
Knowledge of irrigation principles and practices such as soil-water and plant interactions
Knowledge of hydraulic valves and pilot systems such as Cla-Val, Watts or Ames
Expertise in diagnostic tools such as: multimeters, flowmeters, fault detectors, detectors and leak detectors.
Ability to read patterns
Ability to lift up to 50 kg
Professional writing and social skills
Proficiency in industry standard software and mobile electronic devices
