Job Purpose
Under general supervision, supervises and coordinates the activities of the Receiving Department. Performs work of those supervised, as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement and ensure compliance of safety procedures and policies and maintain housekeeping standards with the understanding that safety is our #1 priority.
- Plan and coordinate the activities of inbound associates to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
- Identify areas for improvement/change, involve associates in the improvement/change process, and monitor the effectiveness of the improvement/change.
- Oversee activities through the planning and scheduling of work, and the review and approval of tasks. Review associates• work assignments and performance development.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Needs to understand and be able to perform and/or guide employees through any task required.
- Needs certification on both sit down and stand-up forklifts.
- Needs full knowledge of the RF gun and all options for Receiving.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Train new team members on forklift operations.
- Fill in for supervisor in their absents.
- Fill in for team members when absent.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience
- Demonstrated Leadership abilities
- Available and willing to work any shift
- Able to work in a fast-paced multiple task environment
- Must be understand in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access skills.)
- Must be a Team Player with excellent people skills.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Must be willing to work irregular hours and overtime as needed.
- Must get to understand High Jump and SAP. (training provided)
