Role Summary
The Studio Program Manager is a subject matter expert in creative studio operations and project management at Alaska Airlines. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment to make decisions in the efficient operations of the in-house creative studio and provides recommendations to address workflow and overall process to deliver timely and accurate work.
Key Duties
- Exercise judgement to make decisions related to projects ranging from strategic brand initiatives to quick turn design projects, using judgement to prioritize based on business need and resource allocation.
- Supports the implementation of systems/software support to achieve an efficient and cost-effective operation and manages the enablement and ongoing operation of systems and processes established.
- Manages execution of projects from initial design concepts through final production, providing efficient workflow and real-time communication through each phase.
- Identifies opportunities to expedite project delivery and reduce cost. Communicates any unresolved problems or possible timeline issues, along with recommended actions for correction.
- Reports and optimizes output from the creative studio including quantity/source of requests, time to brief, time to execute, alignment to brand strategy, and performance.
- Supports portfolio management by collaborating with other program or project managers to align projects with strategic goals, optimize resource allocation, and ensure efficient project delivery within the portfolio.
- Ensures optimal systems are in place to monitor production flow of assigned work.
- Documents project changes based on feedback and organizes presentation materials for creative reviews
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
- 4 years of experience in production role within a creative studio, agency or in-house team.
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in marketing, project management or related field, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
- Experience establishing processes and systems to efficiently manage a creative studio environment.
- Experience as a project manager or equivalent leadership experience on creative projects.
- Experience implementing projects involving process improvement.
- Ability to manage expectations in a high-pressure, deadline filled environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Ability to present creative work to stakeholders; speak to creative choices, defend decisions and gain alignment.
- Ability to identify problems and collaboratively develop alternatives for solutions.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
- A professional certification in project management (PMP).

Salary Range
$95,000 - $142,600 / year
Salary Details
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
