At Inneos, we develop and manufacture VCSEL-based components and subsystems for medical, military, aerospace, and commercial OEMs, as well as finished products for consumers. Our products are often used as high-definition video interconnects in operating rooms, security systems, flight control, conference rooms, and our fastest-growing segment, home theaters. But our products are also used in datacom, sensing, and automation applications. We are a small but growing company with operations in Pleasanton, CA, and our own semiconductor design and fabrication facility in Zephyr Cove, NV, located just off the shoreline of Lake Tahoe.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Technical Marketing Engineer to join our team. This position is a customer-facing role, within marketing, responsible for helping customers understand the technical and functional merits of our products, answering technical questions regarding new product design and implementation, and working with other members of the design staff to ensure that product release is completed on time. You will be working in and designing for a high-volume production environment and will require supporting several different company development projects simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create marketing collateral targeted at technical decision-makers for our customers and prospects
• Create product and solutions presentations for both external and internal use.
• Participate in customer and other key meetings to provide product information and capture feedback
• Design and construct product demos for trade shows and customer/partner engagements
• Work with the design engineers on new fiber-optic sub-assemblies, optical transceivers, and video modules
• Develop and maintain initial specifications for new product concepts
• Develop and execute product marketing plans, factoring in the 5 Ps (Product, Place, Promotion, Price, and Positioning)
• Help develop user interfaces for customer tests
• Work with customers during their design-in phase or help customers troubleshoot design or field operation issues
• Organize and lead the training of external and internal resources
• Support sales engineers and channel partners during customer meetings

Minimum Requirements:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 2 years of working with high-speed optical or electronics or related experience
• Solid grasp and understanding of technical terminology and jargon related to high-speed optoelectronic systems
• Ability to plan and accomplish goals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have a work authorization that would permit full-time work for Inneos

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Advanced problem-solving, and deductive reasoning skills
• Intermediate collaboration, team building, and development skills
• Interest in optoelectronics
• Experience with programmable logic a plus
• Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, resourceful, and able to take initiative
• Intermediate knowledge of communication systems and video systems, including fiber optic transmission systems

Pay Range: in CA: $80,000 - $112,000, depending on experience

Ability to commute/relocate to either location:

• Pleasanton, CA or Zephyr Cove, NV: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Pay: $80,000.00 - $112,000.00 per year
