We are looking for a talented and motivated Technical Writer.
You will learn how to use our product and write all about it. Additionally, you work closely with our product management, engineering, and customer success teams to produce and update tutorials, instructional guides, quick starts, product manuals, reference materials, and other documents related to our cloud contact center software.
Your goal as a Technical Writer?
You will provide our customers with guidance on how to achieve their business goals in the most effective way using the Bright Pattern product and offer them easy access to correct answers to their questions.
Each month, our software handles millions of our customers' conversations. Your skillful ability to explain, answer, and use documentation to help our customers is critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret technical specifications and design documents
- Try the software features out - hands-on
- Write accurate technical documentation, including tutorials, instructional guides, quick starts, product manuals, reference materials, and best practices
- Develop expert knowledge of Bright Pattern products
- Collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, and product management to develop high-quality content that serves as the first level of support for our customers
- Document APIs and integrations
- Manage and track assigned tasks ensuring all due dates are met
Required Qualifications / Experience
The preferred candidate:
- Has three years experience developing user-facing technical content
- Reads and understands API documents
- Possesses skills like active listening, critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving
- Writes intelligently about software as a service (SaaS)
- Performs technical tasks like installing, upgrading, and testing software
- Understands wiki markup
- Is goal-oriented, works independently or on a team, and meets deadlines
- Adheres to in-house style and has expert knowledge of English spelling and grammar

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
