Job Title: Tech III (Metrology)

ZYGO Corporation is a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced optical metrology systems and ultra-precise optical components and assemblies. Our mission is to enable customer success by delivering innovative precision metrology and optical solutions. ZYGO's metrology products measure absolute position, displacement, surface shape and texture and film thickness. Applications for our metrology products are diverse and include semiconductor manufacturing, precision machining and optical manufacturing. Our optics business leverages ZYGO's expertise in optical design and assembly and high-volume manufacturing of precision optical components and systems for aerospace, defense, medical and industrial applications.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform various tests on optical surfaces including interferometer, CMM, AFM, and PMM
• Perform calibration and insure proper operation on specific equipment and custom optical tests
• Setup and break down various test configurations
• Run software analysis routines on test data and interpret results as passing or failing
• Handle and clean optical components without downgrading the surfaces
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment by following cleaning schedules and inventory control
• Perform maintenance and preventatives maintenance on test equipment and tooling
• Work with engineering on developing testing methods for new products

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• Associate degree in related technical field plus 5 years related work experience or HS Diploma or equivalent plus 8 years related work experience
• Experience in manufacturing environment
• Experience with simple troubleshooting of processes
• Experience with optics and optical testing preferred but not required
• Team player with good communication skills
• Careful, well organized and detail oriented
• Strong computer skills including MS Work and Excel
• Basic math skills

Compensation

Salary Minimum: $70,000

Salary Maximum: $90,000
