Job Description:

Purpose:

The primary responsibility of the Territory Sales Manager is to grow the landscape contractor channel by converting non Kichler users and growing the current Light Pro contractor base. This role will continue to develop and implement sales strategies. The Territory Sales Manager will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager.

 

A leading candidate will have a proven track record of being ambitious and a motivated self starter and an effective communicator with both internal and external customers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct calling efforts and product trainings at the contractor-installer level, to drive Pro conversion to Kichler.
  • Develop and grow market share of current distribution network and seek out new opportunities by providing valued added activities – Trainings, Demo Days, product reviews.
  • Responsible for providing sales and market share growth leadership and results for contractor and distributor sales initiatives.
  • Be prepared to conduct seminars and training programs as needed.
  • Conduct specification calls on Landscape Architects as needed in conjunction with travel in the specific geographical territory.
  • Manage relationships with existing pro contractors and sales representatives to develop new lighting contractors on an ongoing basis.
  • Responsible for overall sales growth within region including NJ, MD, DE, Eastern PA, NY (excluding New York Metro and Long Island). The majority of time will be spent within 150 mile radius of Philadelphia, PA.
  • Manage Travel and Expense Budget, travel 4 of 5 days generally required. Flexibility for overnight travel is a must with an occasional night time demo. Travel to other territories for team coverage will be occasionally required.
  • Daily use of Salesforce CRM tool outlining customer visits and opportunities/threats within your territory.
  • Communication to Kichler and field agents within 48 hours.

 

Education & Experience:

  • College degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Five years in the landscape lighting and/or irrigation industry preferred.
