Great opportunity for an experienced Trailer Mechanic in Salisbury, NC!
FW Carrier is a dedicated carrier servicing Dillard's private fleet since 1980. Our maintenance shop in Salisbury is actively seeking a motivated trailer mechanic with a minimum of 5 years of experience working on dry van pup trailers. Our fleet consists of 1350 trailers and 160 dollies.
Day shift, Mon-Fri 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Full time position with great benefits
Job Location: Salisbury, North Carolina (Charlotte area)
Responsibilities include:
- Experience in all repairs on both trailers and converter dollies
- FMCSA inspections
- Enter electronic work orders and charge out parts
- Shop cleanliness, safety and compliance
- Follow policy and procedures in making all repairs
- Roll doors experience
- Welding experience
Other requirements:
- Bumper-to-bumper preventive maintenance and repairs
- Electrical repair and troubleshooting
- The ability to identify the source of malfunctions using a variety of testing equipment including electronic testing equipment
- ABS service including diagnostics
- Must have your own tools
- Self-motivated
- Work well with others
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
